Safari, window reopens on its own after close

Safari Version 9.0.1 (9537.86.2.7.2) on Mavericks 10.9.5.

Suddenly Safari shows untypical and irritating behaviour.
We use Safari for long time, these problems not until few days ago.

Closing window by cmd+W or from menu bar causes that window closes
and a tiny fraction of one second later it reopens by itself.
No matter how many windows are open.

Is this a known issue?
How are possible solutions?
