For some unknown reason, on my 4-day-old Mac Pro, Safari often does not load anywhere between 20-40% of the images on a given web page.

Are there any settings I have skipped over that might be causing this?

If my wireless connection were slow, would Safari just "give up" and stop trying to load pictures if it was taking too long?

I'm trying to stick with Safari since I have a MobielMe account on the way in a few weeks, so I'm not looking to change browsers as a solution.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Try manually setting your DNS server in network preferences to "208.67.222.222" for primary and "208.67.220.220" for the secondary (OpenDNS), respectively. This could be a problem in which your dns server is crap, as was the case with mine (I have AT&T). After I changed my DNS, the problem was fixed instantly.

Thanks! I will try that as soon as I get home from work and let you know how it goes.
