Safari won't load apple.com

Safari very rearly opens the Apple site. It will sit loading the page, or any other Apple page, for an indefinite time.

Firefox however, loads the page immediately.

This has happened for as long as I can remember, not just on this build of Safari. It also happened on my iMac before I sold it.

What gives?

Try the usual diagnostics: Clear your cache, clear your cookies, Reset Safari. In that order.

Funny that apple's own website breaks safari. Vulnerability testing mayhaps?
