For several months now I've been unable to access Facebook through Safari from my M1 Mac mini (running Monterey). With iCloud Private Relay enabled I just get 'Safari Can't Connect to iCloud Private Relay. Safari can't open the page "https://facebook.com@ because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection'.

If I disable iCloud Private Relay, it's the same but the error message starts 'Safari Can't Open the Page' instead. Meanwhile, on my M1 MBP it works fine. I've cleared cookies, I've cleared the cache in the Safari Develop Menu, but still the same. I've even tried a repair installation of Monterey, but that (and Monterey updates) haven't helped either. Facebook loads up just fine through Firefox or Chrome, so this is something Safari-specific.

Any suggestions?

On macOS 12.3 (Monterrey) on M1 Mac Mini here and I don't use Safari, but I just launched Safari and typed in facebook.com and it loaded immediately. So I suspect it must be some sort of network setting in Safari or macOS on your machine that Safari specifically doesn't like (probably not a setting in your router itself, since you are able to reach facebook ok on your other Mac, which I'm assuming is connected to the same network through Safari).

I had the same problem and suddenly stumbled onto the solution. It's simple. Go to Facebook.com on Safari. Now go to Safari in Safari's menu. Choose "Settings for Facebook.com". Now uncheck "Enable content blockers". That's it. The page should become visible.
