I've returned from work and Safari wont load (kids may have done something, they say not).
Home page wont load just a white blank page then the error message the application Safari quite unexpectedly Mac OS X and other apps are not affected.
It doesn't matter if I relaunch, report or close / restart it happens again. I dont have firefox any more so I cant try that.
Any basic assistance would be greatly received - Thanks

Um... if you have another computer, download Safari onto something like a flash drive and reinstall Safari. That's the only thing I can think of.

1. Download OnyX (a free maintenance utility).
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11582

2. Open OnyX and Click Cancel on these two Alert Panels:
-Cancel the S.M.A.R.T. Box
-Cancel the Startup Volume Box

3. Enter your Password

4. Click on the Cleaning Tab

5. In each tab, within the Cleaning Tab, execute the command. Check all the boxes in each tab. When its finished in that tab, it will ask you to reboot. Say NO. Go on to the next tab and repeat until all tabs, within the Cleaning Tab, are done. THEN REBOOT.

Can I do that from a windows based machine?

Hm... I'm not entirely sure. :/
On your Windows machine, go to: http://oldapps.com/

If you can, download Safari. (For OS X) Any version should do. Then put it on a flash drive. If you have a mail account set up on Mail, that might work, too.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't, you probably have a network issue on your hands.
