I've tried Software update and am currently googling around to try and find a fix. but so far all I have been able to do is take a screen shot showing the error I get when I try to launch safari.

Try moving just the application to the trash and leaving it there.

Then put in your Snow Leopard disk, go to Optional Installs, click the Pkg file, and check mark Safari under Applications.

Let it install, a message about "latest version" will come up but ignore it. Then try to launch it.
