Safari won't work even after reinsta

Im having exactly the same problem and have done as you did, reinstalled it. It seems to attempt to load by boucning twice in the dock but then instantly closes
...its very annoying as it wrecks the whole build up of excitement surrounding Tiger's launch, for me its worse than the disaster of 10.3.9. If anyone else had this problem and sorted it could you please advise me on what we need to do?

Oh Ive managed to fix Safari 2.0 and it works now perfectlty 
. It wa to do with the third party applications in the inputmanager folder (i just used spotlight to find it, but its in library somewhere). I had to remove iGetterIMBundle - I dont know what it did but Im not missing it...yet!

Maybe you should delete the Safari app and all the files that have to do with Safari. Deleting the application alone may not do the job, as suggested above.
