Safari ?

Hello,

for no apparent reason of late my browser 5.1.7 safari on Lion 10.7.4 has been unable to find any number of pages on many sites to which I have pointed it.

A pause of seconds up to 5 mins or so and the connection is made.

Just a bit annoying - any ideas?

nb:- no changes to set up/isp and such in the last year.

Try clearing your cache and cookies. Also, check to make sure you don't have any ad-blockers or extensions interfering. If you haven't already done so, try changing your DNS servers on your Mac and your router to OpenDNS servers. This will show you how: Why am I being redirected to other sites?
