'safe' reboot deleted fonts

i did a so-called safe reboot (holding down shift key while restarting) and all of my fonts are gone. how can i recover them? thank you. ryan.

We might need a bit more information. Why did you need to do the safe boot in the first place? Do you have no fonts at all, or are some basic system fonts still active? If you boot normally (not safe-boot), do the fonts reappear?
