I am desperate for a the new macbook pro with retina. The one with 8 gigs of ram and 256 GB sad, if that matter. I have read a lot about the issues with trackpad and so on. It has been a week, and there has been no update. I am starting to think about a hardware problem. Is it safe to buy now? Is the problem that annoying, or do you really think that it will be fixed?
- Sorry for my english..

It's a software problem. Don't let it hold you back from buying.

It could be annoying - ie. if you're doing a WebEx, and had to shut down and rejoin, or giving a presentation, etc. If you can live with having to close the screen and wait a bit on occasion when it freezes, you should be fine getting one now if you're really desperate. Apple did post a bulletin and given the population affected I'd say they're probably working feverishly on a fix for it...

Do they really need a week, and haven´t they tested it before the release? I have read that it happens to everyone with the 13 inch after a few hours.

These things happen. Apple isn't perfect. Even the Haswell MBA had WiFi issues upon release. But this problem is also happening on last year's rMBPs. Definitely not something in the hardware. If you were planning on buying, then buy.

Everybody seems to have this issue.

I talked to apple care two hours ago.
The woman was completely unaware of this.
She told me its an hardware issue and that i should return my rmbp!!
But: Ive seen it on mba, too.
Lets see what apple is going to say about this....
