My iphone 4S automatically downloaded 6.1.2 and is waiting for me to install it. I don't care much for the update but i want to clear up the space this install file is taking up on my iphone's memory.
I was going to install it today but i read so many posts online about how people have several problems after updating to 6.1.2:
~worse battery life
~apps crashing
~constant loss of data connection and unable to connect to some wifi networks

how widespread are these problems?
anyone had these?

( I am on 6.0.1 right now)

I have a 4s running 6.1.2 and have none of those problems. Some people always seem to have some problems but I'd say recent releases seem to much more problem free that old ones.

I have no problems that appeared with 6.1.2

If you are waiting for a release where no one complains about an issue, then you will never be able to update. Very little was changed in 6.1.2. It was mostly to fix an exchange issue.

A friend of mine updated his 4s to 6.1.2 and it is running very well for now, no problems or bugs at all :)

Updated to 6.1.2 two days ago on my 4S. Call quality and signal strength are improved on my unit, and iMessages don't "hang" anymore when i'm trying to send them. My phone's battery life is slightly worse, but its too soon to pass judgment on that statistic after only two days with an upgrade. No app issues whatsoever. From my experience, it's relatively safe.

Relatively safe, battery is better than 6.1.1 but still worse overall. Apps do crash though not as noticeable as before.

what do you think about sound quality. Is it just my ears or the sound quality was slightly better on 5.1.1?

Go ahead. My 4S battery is good: 2 days with over 7 hours of use. Non jailbroken.
