Safe way to get a US iTunes account?

Howdy hey people, hoping you can help me on something...

I'm wanting to set up a US iTunes account, i live in the UK so its a tad hard, however i stumbled across this website which is offering to set one up for £2.50.

Just wondering if either anyone else has used this and knows if it works or if there's another way i can set one up?

You could do what many of your compatriots do and simply have someone in the US *cough* buy a gift card and send you the code, then you just make up an address in the US and register the account with the gift card.
