Safri won't start

Every time I try to open safari nothing happens. The icon in the dock just bounces. Safari does come up on the tool bar next to the apple logo but the window never opens and if I try to click on sfari on the tool bar the coloured oin wheel just appears. Everything else on my mac runs fine, I'm using firefox right now.

Suggestions to fix this?
