J&R has the Drobo DRO4DD10 on sale here.

Seems like a good price as the lowest I've seen new is $394 from a legit seller.

Oh they show a $50 rebate as well. Unsure if that is in addition to though. Anyone know? If it is I may buy myself.

Edit:I called Darryl (CS x 1056) who said the $50 rebate was in addition to, so this enclosure is $309!

I am highly considering it to be honest. I need to finish my redundant storage solutions.

I think J&R is a legit seller. They're all over Amazon.com. :D

Agreed, I've purchased from them online before. Very good service.

I may actually look into this, been debating a Drobo for some time.

This smells of an update coming out soon and they're clearing stock. That's a pretty sweet discount. I'm looking forward to owning one in a couple of months or so.

I am eventually going to pick up the HP media share. Personally i think that is a better NAS solution for just around the same price $500 and you get real server software.

I've been thinking this every since they dropped the price with the rebate to $450. Now it's $300. It might be $250 in a couple months. I think I'd wait until the new Drobo comes out–assuming one does–and weigh that to the current one. But I definitely like the idea of them and look forward to one.
