Hi folks,

I'm currently on vacation in New Hamsphire and I would like to buy an iPhone and iPad. As far as I understand this wikipedia site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_taxes_in_the_United_States) I don't have to pay any sales taxin NH. So it's 499 $ on the price tag and 499 $ at the register for the iPad? Right?

I'm from germany and just have a german credit card? Does that have any influence?

Thanks in advance for your help
Jan

Just so you know, if you have a US iPhone/iPad and anything goes wrong with it, you may be required to have it serviced in the US, which will require a US mailing address, or going into a store in the US even if the issue is covered under the 1 year warranty.

"Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."

But, to answer your question, NH has no sales tax. The number you see is the number you pay. Whether saving some cash is worth potential frustration down the line is totally up to you.
