So I'm about to take the plunge and unlock the ATT sim on my iPhone 4s (5.0), and I noticed that during the install, while it will install a set of libraries and programs, it also removes MyWi 5.x and MyWi On Demand.

Does anyone know why? I assume it has something to do with conflicting libraries, but there is nothing in the package details at Cydia that states why.

Anyone have any ideas?

Installing SAM should not require the removal of anything, not MyWi.
Is your version of MyWi legit ?

There is an upgrade to SAM today just for general info.

Yep. My version if MyWi is quite legit. Bought it three years ago on my iPhone 3G. since Cydia keeps the record of the license, it installed cleanly on my iPhone 4S. Never bought or use cracked apps, and never will.

I'll give it a shot and if need be, reinstall MyWi afterwards.

That is weird, for certain.

I've been having serious MyWi issues since I installed SAM. It won't activate consistently and the connection drops a lot. My iPad is 5.1 so I know that's not the issue. I removed then reinstalled MyWi and that seems to helping some.

Is your iPad a 3G model ?
If not, MyWi won't run correctly on it.
