I've got a Macbook Pro and got everything setup. I changed my user account's type from Admin to standard and I have networked wirelessly for file sharing between my Desktop Mac, running Ubuntu Karmic, and Snow leopard, which is on my MBP. Ubuntu was acting as the server for almost all connections, including AFP, through netatalk. However, I'm having a bit of a problem. I setup my samba server on Ubuntu to share my USB printer and I have been able to print from it almost everytime. However, there are times that it will not print. To deal with at least one of those times, I added the command to restart the samba daemon upon login on Ubuntu. The big problem though is that many times, when I try to print, nothing will go through unless I print something from my Admin account first. How can I fix this?
