Hello

I just got a new Macbook last week,I'm having some problems with downloads and where they are downloaded.

When I DL apps I get the same "folders" on my HD and on my Desktop, How can I delete them without deleting the app,I tried moving them with no luck.

Also when I click on a app on my Dock the same "FOLDER" shows up on Desktop all the time.

How this can be fixed? And how can I prevent from this to happen in the future again ?

Thank you

it sounds like you're not installing the apps properly or ejecting the mounted disk. if you only DL one item it won't duplicate unless you've still got the DMG mounted - could you be clearer on what you mean by 'folders'?

The correct procedure (if it is a .dmg extension) is double click to mount, open up the mounted folder, drag the file to your applications folder (or wherever you want). Close the mounted disk, eject it and it'll disappear then you're free to delete the original file
