Same Transcend Jet Drive for iMac and rMBP?

Hi all,

I am using both my iMac and my rMBP for work these days. In an effort to have all my files in one place I want to start putting everything on a drive that I can use in both computers. I know I could just use a thumb drive but they stick out of my MBP when traveling and I am constantly afraid of it falling out and losing it.


So, I am liking the Transcend Jet Drive for my MBP as it is flush with the case when inserted. My issue that they seem to be very model specific. My rMBP is a late 2012 and my iMac is a 21.5/mid 2011.

Will the same Jet Drive work in both computers?
