Hi All
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2243BWX monitor attached to my Mac Pro 1.1 [OS X: 10.6.3] that refuses to display at its native 1680 X 1050 resolution.
System Pref incorrectly sees the display as a "SyncMas461". I've tried attaching the monitor via DVI & VGA connectors with no difference. Any advice?
Thanks in advance..

i know my samsung monitor came with a driver disc. are there mac drivers on a disc or online? that is really weird it isn't picking it up right. what does it try to set it at?

Hey Zao - no such luck hey. Driver disc supplied is PC only [with .icm profiles, though not sure if Mac's have any use for these]. Drivers online are also only for Windows. The user manual makes reference to connection to a Mac as well so its def supposed to be supported..
