I recently bought a 23" Apple Cinema display, only to have it be defective when I plugged everything in. I thought it was my computer at first... anyway.... instead of exchanging it for a new one, i was thinking of exchanging it for the Samsung 244T-Silver 24". Has anyone here heard anything good/bad about this monitor? Any thoughts? Please share... THANKS!!

three reasons had me thinking....

1/ it's 1" bigger (wow! amazing! not really)
2/ i just liked the idea of it having rca hookups... that way in the future when i buy my 40" apple monitor i can use this one in the bedroom to watch dvds.

i was just curious about other peoples thoughts. i really like the mac 23", but i was just bummed that i got a defective one.

Hmmm, this just isn't your day, is it? ;)

Personally I'd stick with the Apple display, though that Samsung display has nice brightness and contrast numbers.

If you are serious about switching from the Apple display to something else, I suggest you cross shop Dell's 24" 2405FPW. It boasts nearly identical specs to the Samsung but is currently going for $879.
