Sorry if this is old news, but it seems as though this display is finally available (at least in the US and perhaps a few other countries - not Canada yet).

It's the Samsung S27A850D. You can find more info about it here, but a Google search shows some retailers are selling it in the US (e.g., http://www.provantage.com/samsung-s27a850d~7SAMD0RC.htm).

Might be an alternative for some of you who don't want the glossy Apple 27", and want to steer clear of Dell's offerings. Limited connectivity options though (not like the Apple has a lot, though).

Haven't seen any review on the production versions, yet.
 
$900 for a 27" display that is not wide gamut? The Dell U2711 and even the NEC PA271w (although more expensive) seem like better choices because of the superior gamut.

Yes, it does seem a bit ... limited. I know some people hate the anti-glare coating on the Dell, but still.
