Damn, that's not bad for the price. It's not a no name brand, way better the my crappy Sylvania... I think my is a 26", I know it's 720P. But it sucks monkey balls... I may have to consider this for my self, replace the one in my room. Sell my Sylvania, to my brother. I would buy it for a dorm or bedroom. When I move out and get my own place. I want a nice 47-50" in the living room

Great price.

I believe that Samsung and Sony use the same LCD manufacturers (correct me if I'm wrong, this is what I was told at BestBuy).

I have a 46" Sony Bravia 1080p, and it's a great TV. If Samsung does indeed use the same screen, I'd go for it.

i think is correct.

ive got a samsung myself after seeing a friends samsung.
they are beautiful.
also...consumer reports highly recommends.

Yes, I would only buy Sony and Samsung my self... Sylvania was a gift, mom got a good deal. $350 last year, with a 3 year extended warranty.

At 32" I don't think 720p vs. 1080p is that noticable. But I have a 400 class Samsung 32" LCD (albeit with 10,000:1 contrast) and the picture is a dream. I believe the 300 class ain't bad, but keep in mind that they're definitely trying to clear old stock. Got my 32" for around $750 after taxes back in October.

that is correct. at 32"...you dont really NEED 1080.
720 gives a great picture until you get in the 40's IMO.

Even if they use a different LCD, I have a 40" (maybe it's 42, don't remember) Samsung 1080p and the picture quality is amazing, I don't think it could be any better than it is. So whoever makes the LCD does a damn good job

Definitely. I think 1080p is useless on anything smaller than 46".
We have a 40" Samsung in the bedroom and a 46" Bravia, the picture is incredible on both though they both needed configuring. I can see how they use the same LCD manufacturer. In the future I'd likely stick both brands too.

They have the same TV on frys.com for $388 today. The site is getting hammered right now.
