I just installed one on my i7 Sony Vaio. Awesome.

So I ordered another for 2012 cMBP (Just installed 16G Ram yesterday almost got it to what I wanted)

$1789 (no tax AAFES) + 16G Ram $100 + 256G SSD $167 =$2066

$2400 (Retina 16G) - $2066 = $334 (So saved a little bit over the Retina)

The retina screen is probably worth the $334, but I wanted to create the monster myself ! Long live upgradability!
