I was thinking about doing an SSD upgrade to my 2011 iMac. In particular, I was considering the Samsung 830 SATA III SSD. Has anyone tried this SSD in their iMac? Do you guys think there will be any compatibility issues with this SSD?

I'm hoping to install just the OS on the SSD and also keep the 1TB drive for all my data. Let me know if you guys have any comments or suggestions.

I've put a Samsung 830 512GB in my MBP for one week now. So far it's running very fast and without any problem. I think it will be good for the iMac as well.

Thanks. I didn't think there would be any issues. But in the end I went for the OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 because it was significantly cheaper. I got it for an awesome deal at $129 (with various Newegg promotions)!
