Samsung 840 EVO Firmware Update (Post Firmware Benchmark Questions)

SO i used the firmware update .iso posted by Samsung for my 840 EVO on my Mac. And I noticed a drop in Write speed and an increase in read.

Previously I was getting 490 on write and 440's for read

Anyone have ideas?

Probably within the margin of error. Or trim hasn't fully run yet on whatever space it decided to run over.

I'm a total beginner so forgive me if this question is basic. Will this new firmware work for us using Macs to fix this 840 EVO problem? The Magician software is only for windows, right?

I bought an 840 EVO 500GB and heard about the issue before installing the drive. I've had the drive in a drawer waiting on a good fix so I can install it. Is this it for us Mac users? Thanks!

Magician software is Windows only.
