Samsung 840 Evo series SSDs

Has anyone tried to install a Samsung 840 EVO series SSD in a 2012 iMac? Does anyone know if the drive plays as nicely with OS X as the 840 Pros and 830 series drives?
 
I bought a 250Gb 840 Series SATA SSD back in March for my 2009 MBP and had no problems installing it. There's a lovely little guide on the Apple website about how to do it, and it follows perfectly.
