Hi guys!

I've recently upgraded my 2011 mbp with a 512gb Samsung 840 Pro SSD. I generally do a lot of downloading, moving files off of my computer and onto an external, and deleting. As far as I understand it, this will have an impact on the performance of my SSD. And the way to prevent this is to enable TRIM ... which I've done using TRIM Enabler. Is this correct? Or should I be doing something else to prevent performance degradation?

Thanks!

Some more things you can do, this should be a stickie (not sure how threads become stickies here but I'd vote 'excellent' on it):
