So i got this new 840 ssd 120gb and i want to update the firmware. I got a usb to sata to connect the hard drive to my windows 7 computer using the usb connection. And basically i formated the hard drive to NTFS and its called " Local Disk (K

I used the samsung disk provided to install the magician onto my windows 7 computer and when i open the software it doesnt recognise my ssd plugged into the usb. it only recognises the current hitachi OS hard disk. It wont recognise the ssd plugged into the usb. How do i update my firmware so that i can use the ssd in the macbook pro 15inch??
