Bout to pull the trigger on installing a SSD in my 2011 iMac. Wondering if I should get the Samsung 850 EVO or Pro? Only a $57 difference between the 2 on Amazon. Any real world benefits to the Pro?

In reality, nope.

Unless you do a lot of writes every day, the 850 Evo will perform almost identically.

That said, since it's an $57 difference I wouldn't mind going for the Pro.

Hardly write anything. The original HD in my 2011 iMac still has 750 GB on it

Most regular users wouldn't see any differences. However, the extended warranty period should be worth something if you decide to sell it later on.
