Samsung camcorders and iMovie 09

I'm thinking of buying a Samsung VP-HMX20C Hi Def camcorder but am unsure as to whether or not imovie 09 supports it. Looking at the Apple support site, it doesn't mention Samsung but does say it will support "most" H.264 camcorders (of which the Samsung is). But on the Samsung product page it specifically states it does not support Mac OS X. I however, think this is just referring to the PC only bundled software and that iMovie will still be compatible with the camera. Can anyone out there confirm this for me though? I'd hate to buy one and then find out after the fact that there is no way of using it with iMovie.
