So, we have a Samsung CLX-4195 Color All-in-One multifunction machine in our office and it's great. It's a little less than a year old and up until a few months ago everything was going swimmingly. Then as you would expect we upgraded our operating systems to Mavericks, then to Yosemite and the printer started to slow down. We updated printer drivers and the like, to no avail. Lo and behold, there's a firmware update! But, it's only available to PC users. It's not even availlable to update through the handy/awkward SyncThru Web Service.
So, when they say Mac compatible, I understand not all features will be available to all operating systems. But, I do expect that firmware updates should be available to all platforms. Maybe it won't make any difference in performance, but Samsung tech support seems to think it will and recommened I get a PC and install the upgrade. So, love the printer, not so much the support.
Various older to the newest of new macs running Mountain Lion through Yosemite.
That is all.
