iPad mini Samsung display?

Heya

Need some confirmation....

The 3rd Gen or New Ipad display was from samsung
The 4th Gen display is from LG...right

The Ipad Mini display is from samsung ..

Maybe that why Apple had to release a brand new Retina iPad in such a short time, casue they want to wean away from samsung.


So if the current Ipad Mini batch is sold out we might get a refresh sooner with a Ipad Mini changed to retina with LG displays instead and A6X.

So do you think this might be the case?

Can we expect a refresh soon?

As far as I know only the earlier batch of iPad 3rd gen was exclusively from Samsung. LG has been supplying more of them than Samsung recently. I believe Sharp made some too but don't think they made as many.

iPad mini display is not made by Samsung. Reportedly it's LG and AUO.

IMO the LG panels are the best now. The Samsung ipads have a reddish/pinkish tone to them (ipad1,2,3, ipad mini which I've had). My iphone5 display is slightly less blue (more white) than the demo floor units. I'm assuming they are Samsungs and mine LG or maybe my LEDs are not so burnt in yet. The worst are AUO. Horrid dull yellow screens. Went through a few iPhone 5s like this.
