SSD Problems
going mad since re installing hdd in optical drive

have restored by using super dup which was fine...until I power off the macbook

Why after powering on the macbook does it 'loose' my ssd which then shows in disk utility as a ms dos drive??????

Ive cloned using guid etc....and re booted after using ssd....until I power off and re start

Any mac users care to help?

Hi

Yes mac os journeled (non case sensitive)

currently using disk utility ...again

last night same prob so I installed mavericks -used migratbootion assistant (to copy my files from hdd -sdd)

When that was complete re started the mac fine -ssd was main startup disk -and ssd was fine with mavs

home from work today powered on macbook -error or warning 'a disk is unreadable -no ssd in finder-hdd only

Why am I repeating the disk utility dailly? -erase ssd (yes it does show in utility)

Just finished erase again -is re installing mavericks to ssd the best way forward?

(this fault has only occured since I re installed the hdd in optical bay as ssd was fine 'on its own)
