I have been doing some research on these two monitors and I cannot find too much information on the Samsung F2380 since it is a fairly new monitor.
I would be using my monitor to connect to my Unibody MacBook Pro (via DVI) and to my PS3 (DVI to HDMI). I have read some good reviews on the 245T but not stellar. Most people tend to go with Dell. I personally do not like Dell products and I have a thing with matching brands in my household, therefore it has to be Samsung.

I have read some horrible professional reviews (of the few I found) on the F2380, claiming that it does not achieve 8ms response time, claiming there is too much ghosting and lagging. On the customer's reviews I have noticed that everyone seems to be happy with it.

I have the Samsung P2570 and I am planning on getting rid of it for the following reasons:
1. I hate the viewing angle and
2. the colors are not as accurate as I would like (I have been spoiled by Apple Cinema Displays all these years).

I really don't care much for the 245T's design and I really like the F2380 but I would hate to make a mistake since I am buying it online and to have to go through all the return hassle it will be a nightmare.

So on the professional level, how inferior would the F2380 be to the 245T? The 245T goes for almost $700 while the F2380 goes for $350 and it just recently came out. The 245T s double the price so what am I missing here?

I would appreciate a response from someone who has seen and is familiar with both monitors and or a professional.

Would I notice any difference going from the Samsung P2570 (TN Panel) to any of these two monitors?

Thanks in advance.

PS: What is the difference between cPVA and S-PVA? From what I understand cPVA is a cheaper (in cost) panel which emulates the same contrast of the S-PVA, am I correct? And what is the difference between IPS and PVA, since PVA is patented by Samsung?
