Hi!

I have a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB inside on my UGREEN Intel Chipset 40Gbps NVMe external SSD Case. I wanted to install the latest Samsung firmware but I’ having problems!

Samsung Magician doesn't work to install a Samsung firmware in X mac...

Alternatively, I downloaded the firmware file and created a flash drive with BalenaEtcher. But the mac doesn't see the EFI of this flash drive with the Restart Option key pressed!

How do I update this firmware on Mac?

Thanks in advance

Assuming you have an Intel Mac, you can boot either Windows or Linux, install Magician and update the firmware. If you using Apple Silicon Mac, you can't w/out using a Windows or Linux virtual machine... and even then, it may require low level hardware access which may not work in VM. Search the Samsung support site for instructions on how to use the Magician software on Windows or Linux to update your drive firmware.
