All Samsung appliances are a hard pass. Built like junk.
Each product category is different at Samsung.
I've had two models of washer and dryer and they were (and are still) doing great.

I wouldn't buy a dishwasher from them though.

TVs? Maybe.
Computer monitors? Absolute junk.
Smartphones? Good or Great.
SSDs? Great !

Does anyone actually have a Samsung appliance?
I have a top of the range tumble dryer. It’s awful, has clunked almost exactly after the warranty ran out and has no ability to control heat (e.g. low setting). I cannot wait for it to die so I can replace it, I’m going with LG next time as my washer has been brilliant and is remarkably energy efficient.

I owned one of their phones and was happy with it, but have hated the dryer, and it was not cheap.

Samsung appliances are rubbish. Unfortunately, I’ve really liked their style. Last three fridges have been Samsungs from Lowe’s. I only paid for one of them…

I bought the first one and added the five year warranty. It died after about four years. They replaced the fridge and about $500 worth of food.

I had to buy a new extended warranty with the second fridge, but that one also died after about three years. Free replacement of the fridge and the food again.

I’ve had the third one for over six years now. Woohoo! Maybe they’ve figured it out.

Maybe not.

Interesting to hear.

I bought a Samsung Twin Cooling Plus refrigerator because wanted the freezer on top and no ice maker. That was Samsung and I knew their reputation, but I thought no ice maker would solve some problems. No problems so far except learning problems. How do you set the temperature? Why don’t the lights work on Saturday? Samsung refrigerators have Shabes lights. If you don’t keep Sabbath, here’s the deal: you can’t cook or make fire. So you make a pot of something edible cold and put it in the refrigerator. Refrigerators are cool (no pun intended) but refrigerator lights are like making fire. And so many people broke LED lights trying to disable them that Samsung added a Shabes light timer to the temperature control software, and my refrigerator had Shabes lights ON. The instructions I needed were online, 1) written by engineers whose English was not 100%, and 2) Samsung won’t call it a Jewish religious timer because Antisemites are customers too and their money is good. IT WAS NO FUN. I’ve had no other problems because (my theory) I ordered a refrigerator with no ice maker.

Very good discounts on Samsung TVs. Good time to buy large screen TVs but at the same time the 2025 models will be coming out soon.

the only samsung product I have is the fridge. It is great, been using for 10 years or so. Second one was bosh. I needed 2 salad drawers and no freezers. But I wish I got samsung instead..

Appliances made 20 years ago last 20 years, built with more metal, less electronics. Very different quality.
At 75 years old the replacement most likely won't have to last 20 years... Very different quality. 🤣
