I currently have a Macbook Air 15 M2 that i am gifting to the wife. I rarely use my laptop and have it in desktop mode all the time. I am planning on getting a M4 mini in the coming weeks. Daughter just moved back home and she will be sharing a desk with me. She also has a M2 air.
I plan on buying a Samsung M80D. I looked up the problems with this possible setup. I currently have a thunderbolt dock to use. If i plug the Mini into the usbc i should have access to the camera and monitor. Everything should work fine.
If i plug the thunderbolt dock into the hdmi port it should work fine but she will not have access to the camera. Which should not matter as she already has one on her Air. Anyone using a M series Mini with a similar setup? I don't know if this will work 100 percent or not any input from whomever has this setup would be appreciated.
