Samsung making a Unbreakable AMOLED display

it will still have breakable glass over it...who has actually broken the LCD in a iphone? Its pretty hard to do

tell you the truth not hard to do. If you hit it right. A lot of companies do not even bother with a glass cover any more over the LCD. This would just be a screen out in front no covering so it might not be that breakable.
 
I've had this clip saved on my computer for almost two years now....

I've been waiting and I don't think its coming as soon as we'd all hope, let alone designs that would even take advantage of tech.
 
Kinda cool, but he was hitting it with a somewhat soft-faced hammer (although a heavy one, I admit). If they're going to claim it's unbreakable, lets see a carpenter with a framing hammer see what he can do ;).

Tell me about it. Apple touted how awesome this glass was and yet a month later I've got a few scratches on the back. What exactly was I supposed to do while case makers catch up because Apple didn't release specs to them early enough? Apple didn't have enough bumpers, and even those don't cover the back.

I've also got quite a few broken CDs despite how "unbreakable" those are.

The glass on the back is not the same glass as is on the front, hence the scratches.

I put a clear film from 3M on mine until the case gets here.

Lol, no one ever claimed either of those were unbreakable.
 
Where have I heard of an unbreakable screen before.... I thought I heard something almost 2 months ago.... I can't seem to remember where I heard of it though, any ideas?

That's simple. You shouldn't have used the iPhone until you could secure it in its case. Non issue. Just don't hold it at all ;)
