Samsung ML-1210 Driver for 10.6?

So, I have the Foomatic-gdi driver installed, and the printer prints, but it "pauses" between each page. It starts "resting," like what the printer does at the end of a job, but it does it between every page!

Does this happen to everyone with this printer in 10.6??

I have already tried re-installing the latest Foomatic drivers, and the same behavior. Again, I know the drivers are "working" because it DOES print. It just takes longer because it starts going into rest most between each page, and then revs back up to print the next page, revs down, revs right back up for the next page, etc.

Any ideas? Are there any other drivers for this godforsaken printer out there that work?

OK, i am getting about a 3-4 second pause between pages. It's not a big deal to me because I rarely print.

To overcome this, one could connect the printer to a virtual Linux or Windows machine.
