Samsung ML-1710 network printing.

I have a samsung ML-1710 printer that is connected to my XP machine. I want to print from my PB to this printer over the network. I successfully added my printer on the PB, but when i go to print something, it doesn't print. I can hear the printer warming up when I go to print, but it doesn't output anything after the warmup. Can anybody please help?!?!
