Samsung monitor base broken - replacement?

Ok, so today I got the Samsung Syncmaster 151V that I had ordered really cheap in the mail, but the screen was on crooked because some springs had broken in the base assembly. Specifically, the springs that let you adjust the tilt of the monitor.

I was going to try and return it, but the seller keeps shipping costs, so I'd be out nearly $40. I tried fixing the springs myself with some parts I bought from Home Depot, and while it kinda worked, the monitor is still crooked and I can't get it to tilt right.

I was wondering if anybody knew of any online stores that sold Samsung bases like that, or of any generic stands that would work on my particular monitor. I've seen some arms that girp onto desks that would probably work, as they have all sorts of screwholes in order to fit any monitor, but I want a regular base if I can find one. Anybody know where?

Just get a VESA monitor mount- it'll free up some deskspace.
I doubt that any store would carry a spare like that, but if you really want a replacement original you might be able to order one direct from Samsung, one of their distributors or a repair company. Do a Google search.

So, would any stand or mount that said it was "VESA-compatible" work for me?
