Wow! New P9 trademark on 10th July 2025:

Samsung Portable SSD P9

Hopefully with 4TB, 8TB, 16TB, 32TB, 64TB and 128TB. We need them all at the University.

Note: also Samsung trademark applications the same day for both "P9 Express" and "P9 SD Express", although they are probably SD cards.

This filing is more than 5 years old. It's not necessarily indicative of anything whatsoever.
YES, it is. Because such product name has not been released yet. Exciting new SSD are coming from Samsung. Final names not yet decided. And I cannot say more because I am under NDA.

I think I can safely speak for almost everyone when I say that nobody finds SSD drives "exciting," and since Crucial already sells a portable SSD drive named the X9, I'm guessing this Samsung drive that you're referring to might actually be the T9 which has been available for quite a while, or a future product that we can't talk about because until it goes on sale it doesn't exist.

Either way, I agree with the others; it really isn't necessary to create a bunch of separate threads (or drudge-up old ones) to announce that Samsung might release some SSD drives someday based on Trademark filings.
