I use the Samsung 2250 SL laser printer which worked fine up till the recent OSX update (10.5.7). Before the update there were no printer driver available on Mac for this printer, but it worked fine with one of the generic drivers in the Mac library. After the update I noticed that the generic driver was no longer available, instead there is now a driver for the Samsung 2250 directly in the drivers library which made me very happy, until I realised that now the printer does not work at all. When I try to print a two page document it just spits out page after page without stopping, some blank and some with some senseless writing.
Any ideas how to fix this?

I found a Samsung ML-2250 laser printer but not a 2250 SL, and all of its drivers are for Windows or Linux. The list of 10.5 pre-installed drivers is also missing that Samsung model...

Not sure what to say unless you have a correction with the model number...

P.S. After some more research, found that the ML-2250 is supported in Mac OS by use of Gutenprint (read: open source) drivers. Do you remember installing them from this page? Looks like their last release was in December 2008, which of course didn't account for 10.5.7 which was made available for download earlier this month.

Correction: I actually miss typed, it is the ML2250 driver that I was looking for, but as I mentioned, after installing the Mac update 10.5 7 the Mac automatically recognised the printer and I assume installed the driver for it. When I open the list of available drivers it now shows a driver for the Samsung ML2250 and is using that driver, only it does not work. At the moment I am saving all my work done in Pages to PDF format, I then transfer those files to my PC and print it out from there on the same printer. Not the best solution but the only one I have at this time.
I will try the Gutenprint driver and report back
Thank you for the help
