I'm surprised there's no discussion on this model. It came out 4 months ago and flew under my radar. They recently went on sale and I picked up an open box from Best Buy. I picked it up because I wanted something that I can tote around everywhere in a very small portable bag. Hate looking at my small phone screen for longer periods of time. I can also use this tablet one handed. And it fits in some of my pant pockets. My S9 Ultra is a bit too big for that, it felt like I was lugging around a laptop.

And I got this one model because it goes up to 800 nits. From what I know there's no other Android tablet, not even the iPad pro M4 can go up to this on manual setting. It's very impressive. Heck that's even brighter than the M4 MacBook pro with manual setting.

M4 iPad pro can go up to 1000 nits but there's a catch, you have to do it with auto brightness on. Not everyone wants auto brightness on. So it only goes up 1000 nits when it wants to, otherwise it's 600 nits max. Whereas on my s10 FE, I can have it at 800 nits all the time if I wanted. It does create heat and the device gets warm but nothing concerning. I would say it gets as warm as my M1 iPad pro did on max brightness of 600 nits. And when I had a M1 iPad pro that thing at times got really really hot on max brightness. And that only goes up to 600 nits.

This s10 FE is noticeably brighter than any other tablet of this size. In fact I put it next to my S9 Ultra at max brightness with high brightness set to on, on both devices. S9 Ultra goes up to 930nits. And I can't tell the difference. The S10 FE has a noticeable cooler tint to the display so it can actually seem brighter but technically it's not.

Even though this processor is not known for its performance I've had zero issues. I wont be taxing this thing so it's not an issue for me. I have two weeks more to try it out but so far looks like a keeper. I use this as GPS in my car too and the screen was still easily visible in bright sunlight and the sunroof open. I did miss the 11" tablet size and this being 10.9" is even better, ever so slightly smaller.

Great complimentary device to go along with my S9 ultra. I just went with the cheapest model with 8GB ram. I'd love 12GB ram to match my phone and S9 Ultra but since this is a secondary device for me, I couldn't justify the extra 40% in cost.

Get this tablet on sale and I think it's a bargain. So much value Samsung gives you. I read the reviews and they all say the same. This tablet isnt going to blow your socks off with an OLED screen or 120hz screen or bleeding benchmarks but it's a very solid all rounder.

If you have a keyboard case with touchpad, try running it in DEX Mode. It turns the tablet into a Chromebook.

Didn’t know the iPad Pro M4 only gets to 600 nits manually. Really?
Yes it's been said on Reddit that to get higher than 600 nits the brightness needs to be on auto. Otherwise it caps at 600 nits on manual.

On my S10FE I can get 800 nits all the time if wanted. It's viewable in sunlight. I swear having it side by side to my S9 U, the FE seems brighter.
