Samsung SCX-4300 scanner does not work

I have an iMac and a Samsung SCX-4300 laser AIO. Just started using the scanner and keep getting message "an error occurred communicating with scanner". The scanner seems to go about 75% the length of the scanning bed then the scanner light turns from bright white to red and then it I get communication error.


Any suggestions???????

What Version Of OS X are you using?
You may need to update the drivers. Try a software update. go to the apple and click "software Update". Hope this helps.
