Samsung SCX-4521F Printer/Scanner....

Hi, I need a bit of help concerning this printer / scanner.

SL has a driver for the machine BUT the SCAN option does not appear in Print & Fax preferences (By the way the icon used does not resemble the actual printer). The latest Samsung drivers just install a Twain interface which of course does not work with ImageCapture, Preview et al.

I tried different other drivers (SL SCX-4500 series driver, SCX-4300 series driver and even the SCX-4528 - this one surprised me by showing a correct icon for the printer!!).

Anyone having experience with these printers? I saw the SCX-4300 series from Samsung have more complete drivers and utilities available for OS / X.....

Any help will be welcome!

I'm having the same problem 3 years later! Did you find a solution in the end? Apart from buying a new printer, of course... 😉
