Hi,
I would like to get some advice to decide between those two monitors. I would actually be perfectly happy with the Studio Display with the resolution and design and integration into the apple ecosystem. However, I really miss the 120 Hz refresh rate. The Samsung would tick that box and offer an OLED panel. Here in Germany, I could get the Samsung brand new for 1471€, that is quite a lot, but cheaper than the Studio Display.
My questions:
(1) How viable is the 4k resolution on the 32" in macOS? Native would be too small, I guess. It has a lot less ppi than the Studio display, which a perfect at 5k 27". Is 4k 32" okay for productivity work?
(2) I plan on using Geforce Now Ultimatefor some light gaming. This works with the studio display. However, it needs to be set to 1440p or 4k 60 Hz, whereas the Samsung M9 would be able to output 4k 120hz natively. I assume, this would be a lot besser suited for my Geforce Now gaming use-case.
What are you general opinions on the Samsung Smart M9? Unfortunately, there aren't many reviews out yet and the ones that are available don't really brush on the productivity use-case.
Would love to hear from you guys...
