I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2443BWT monitor and a new Macintosh Pro Quad Core computer. From what I read about the Samsung I thought it would work with Macs. I was expecting more clarity than my Imac G4 but it's worse. When reading text from the finder window, a browser or any application it changes density from different parts of the screen. What I mean is, if I move my eyes to the bottom the type looks grey or lighter. If I move my eyes to the top to the screen the type appears heavier. Also, the type is just not sharp. Either it's not meant for Macs or I have a dud. I've done everything humanly possible with the monitor settings as well as in Preferences and this problem does not go away. Tech support at Samsung told me I need to get a driver and that the mac can not work at the 1920 x 1200 . I was told by tech support from MacMall that I was misinformed by the tech person at Samsung and that the Mac Pro can handle the 1920 x 1200 resolution and will adjust itself to the limitations of the monitor and no driver is needed. I'm about to box this thing and ship it back to MacMall. Any 11th hour suggestions?
