I would consider getting it if it didn't have that ugly acrylic stand.

It's all about picture quality as far as I'm concerned. It looks like a nice monitor... the price of these has really come down. I've had a 24" Samsung 244T monitor for 5 years and I like it a lot. Here's the review of the xl2370 from cnet.
